Dr. Chandrashekhar Deopujari is a seasoned and renowned Neurosurgeon from Mumbai with exceptional skills in Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive surgery, Paediatric, Epilepsy and Vascular disorders. He presently serves as Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences (Mumbai) affiliated to the Maharashtra Health University. Apart from medical education, Dr. Deopujari is a visiting Consultant to Hinduja Gamma Knife Centre (Mumbai), Advisory to BGS Global Hospital (Bengaluru) and Honorary Consultant to the BJ Wadia Childrens’ Hospital (Mumbai).

Dr. Deopujari has undergone extensive and rigorous medical training. Post MBBS, Dr. Deopujari achieved MS (Surgery) from Government Medical College (Nagpur), MCh (Neurosurgery) from Grant Medical College (Mumbai) and MSc (Neurosurgery) from New Castle University, New Castle Upon Tyne (UK). He further undertook several fellowship programs incorporating Microvascular Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital (Detroit, USA), Pediatric Neurosurgery at HSC (Toronto, Canada), Epilepsy Surgery at Miami Childrens’ Hospital (USA) and Endoscopic and minimally invasive skullbase Neurosurgery at University of Mainz (Germany) thereby strengthening his clinical skills. He also served as a Visiting Fellow to Fujita, Shinsu and Osaka universities in Japan, Emory University Clinic (Atlanta, USA) and Cleveland Clinic (USA) consequently providing him wide overseas experience.

Dr. Deopujari’s broad medical career of over two decades speaks volumes of experience he has gained over the years. He enjoys an outstanding publication record and is on the editorial board of World Neurosurgery, Childs’ Nervous System, Journal of Paediatric Neurosciences and Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery. It is a matter of great distinction for Dr. Deopujari to be invited by various overseas medical bodies to deliver guest lectures and conduct workshops on a global platform. He also has received the honour and privilege to hold significant and esteemed posts in various professional organizations like Neurological Society of India, Skullbase Surgery Society of India, India Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, Indian Society of Neuro-oncology and Asian Society of Neuro-oncology in the past.
